All abstracts should be formatted according to the provided template and sent to the conference . Please indicate on your e‑mail your preferred choice of communication: oral presentation vs poster.
All presentations must be created in, or converted to, Microsoft PowerPoint. Acceptable formats for presentations: PowerPoint (*.ppt or *.pptx).
Macintosh users: Please make sure that all inserted pictures are either JPEG or PNG file-types. Quicktime (*.mov) files are also an accepted video format. For PC users the recommended video is Windows Media (*.wmv).
Image files are embedded directly into PowerPoint when the file is saved, while video and audio files are not. Only a link is made to those files. Please copy your video and audio clips into the same folder as the PowerPoint file.
Please deliver your presentation file (or folder) to the designated staff member the day before your talk if you are scheduled to a morning session, or until the morning coffee break if you are presenting in an afternoon session.
A staff member will be in the proximity of the presentation computer to provide assistance if required. Each presenter will be given 12 minutes to present his/her work, followed by a 3 minute question and answer period.
For poster presentations: posters should not exceed 80 cm wide by 120 cm tall (portrait orientation). Poster presenters are encouraged to be present during coffee breaks, lunch hours, etc. Our goal is to give posters as much exposure as possible, so all posters will be displayed for the duration of the conference.
Each participant can submit up to 2 abstracts, but since the number of oral presentations is limited, only one can be an oral presentation (i.e. one oral presentation and one poster, or two posters). Participants with accepted abstracts must register and pay their registration fees until the scheduled deadlines. If payment is not received by the deadline, or is received after the deadline, the abstract(s) will be automatically withdrawn and will not appear in the Programme nor on the on-line Abstract Book. Presenting authors will be notified as to whether their abstracts have been accepted, as well as the date, time and type of their presentations.
